Provide support for each of these qualities by explaining how they affect student learning. The essay must be typed using a Times New Roman or similar font, 12 point, single spaced, and two pages long (approximately 1000 words). The portfolio is required to display 8 to 10 pieces of your artwork. Each slide should provide a clear photograph of the artwork and indicate the title, art medium, scale, and date. The portfolio should reflect some recent pieces that demonstrate your current studio practices, as well as some variety in media and techniques that show you can be adaptable as an art teacher to a range of studio class expectations. The portfolio is required to include at least 2 examples of observational drawing such as figure drawing or still life to demonstrate your observational drawing skills. If you find it helpful, you may put your photos of artwork into PowerPoint, Google Slides, or another slide deck application, and then convert those slides to a PDF and submit it to the application portal.
